The closing match of matchday 15 of LALIGA EA SPORTS, featuring RC Celta and Cádiz CF, ended in a draw at Abanca Balaídos (1-1).
The match, which began with a marked dominance by Celta, took a surprising turn in the first quarter of an hour when, after several shots at David Gil’s goal, the Cadiz team took the lead thanks to a goal by Chris Ramos (0-1). However, this was the first and only goal for the Cadiz team. A foul by Víctor Chrus on Iago Aspas reduced Cádiz to 10 players on the field, forcing Sergio González to reorganize his lines and adopt a more defensive stance. Despite this adversity, Cádiz resisted Celta’s attempts to come back, managing to maintain their lead until halftime.
The visitors’ tenacity was short-lived after the break, as it took just over 10 minutes for Rafa Benítez’s team to level the score. Celta’s equalizer came with a goal from Strand Larsen after a smooth collective play (1-1). After the equalizer, the hosts monopolized the ball, creating numerous opportunities, but David Gil’s interventions pardoned a Cádiz that saved the day thanks to the early goal by the number 5 player.
RC Celta’s next match will be on December 7th against Sestao River Club at 21:00 h in the second round of the Copa del Rey. Meanwhile, in the league, the next appointment will be on Monday, December 11th in Vallecas, where Rafa Benítez’s pupils will face Rayo Vallecano at 21:00 h.
