The RC Celta certified its pass to the next round of the Copa del Rey with a resounding victory against Salamanca CF UDS at the Helmántico (0-7). Goals from Williot Swedberg, Hugo Sotelo, Pablo Durán, Tadeo Allende, Carlos Domínguez and Fer López completed a brilliant day for the sky blue team. In spite of the heavy result, Salamanca CF UDS showed a good game, corroborating their quality as a team.
The match started in the best way for the locals: with a warm welcome and excitement for the match to be played at home. A good atmosphere that Celta also enjoyed as their own for the return to a competition that they like very much, an exciting competition. So much so, that the sky blues soon scored. It would be Williot Swedberg who, after 5 minutes, would take advantage of a loose ball in the area to open the scoring.
The second would come after half an hour of the match and from the 11 meters, when Hugo Sotelo extended the celestial advantage by converting a penalty committed on Alfon. A significant goal for the youth player as it was his debut as a scorer with the first team.
After this, and before going to the locker room, an assist from Alfon in the area allowed Pablo Durán to score the 0-3, adding his second consecutive goal in Copa.
At the start of the second half, the charros tried to close the gap, looking for a goal that would put them in the match. Several passes by Iván Villar’s goal made them believe that this was not completely outlandish, but an unexpected goal by Tadeo Allende, the second so far in the competition, ended up destroying their plans and bringing down the house of cards, as after this, the goals did not stop coming.
The next to find the net was Carlos Domínguez, who just four minutes later, with a header, scored the fifth, followed by Fer López. The 20-year-old youth player also made his debut as a scorer with RC Celta, closing the account by scoring the sixth and the seventh Celta goal in the last stages of the match.
Now, the team is focused on LALIGA EA SPORTS, where it will play again this Friday, December 6, against RCD Mallorca at Abanca Balaídos.
