RC Celta exercised the purchase option agreed last summer with RB Leipzig and closed its second signing for next season, midfielder Ilaix Moriba. Both the sky-blue club and the player himself are making a great effort to ensure his continuity in the team.
During the 2024/25 season, the young Spanish-Guinean has played a total of 33 games in Laliga, accumulating more than 2,000 minutes, in which he scored a goal against Sevilla FC in Abanca Balaídos. In addition, in the Copa del Rey he has played 2 matches in which he has provided an assist.
At just 22 years of age, Ilaix stands out for his dynamic and versatile style of play. He is a very powerful player, capable of covering a lot of space and arriving dangerously in the opponent’s area, demonstrating a great mid-range shot. His intelligence in decision making has made him a very important part of Claudio Giráldez’s team’s characteristic style of play.
