Unai Núñez moves from Hellas Verona to Valencia CF and will play on loan for the che side until the end of the season.
The Biscayan centre-back arrived in Vigo in the summer of 2022 and, over two seasons, defended the sky-blue badge with professionalism and commitment. During that period, Unai racked up nearly 6,500 minutes across 76 official matches, split between LaLiga and the Copa del Rey.
Last season he went out on loan to Athletic Club, where he delivered an impressive performance. Subsequently, at the start of the current 2025/26 campaign, he went out on loan once again, this time to Verona, with whom he has played 18 official matches—17 in Serie A and one in the Coppa Italia—accumulating a total of 1,355 minutes of playing time with the Italian side.
Since his arrival at Celta, Unai Núñez has always shown an exemplary attitude, both on and off the pitch. For this reason, the club wishes him every success in this new stage of his career and in his return to domestic competition.
