Pablo Durán has extended his contract with Celta through 2028. The forward, a native of Tomiño, will continue to wear the sky-blue jersey for at least two more seasons.
Since joining Celta Fortuna in 2022, Pablo has knocked on every door until he fully earned his place on the first team. His journey reflects the effort, hard work, and sacrifice that make Celta proud and highlight the club’s youth teams talent.
In his first season with Celta, he made his LaLiga debut against UD Almería, but it wasn’t until last season that he truly broke into the elite. “The Buffalo of Tomiño” responded with an immediate impact, recording 6 goals and 6 assists across LaLiga and the Copa del Rey.
Throughout this season, the young forward has continued to develop, having already logged over 1,500 minutes of playing time, during which he has scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists across LaLiga, the Copa del Rey, and the Europa League. His physical attributes and competitive drive make him a player with a bright future within Claudio Giráldez’s system.
Hardworking, consistent, and committed, Pablo Durán perfectly embodies the values of effort, identity, and a sense of belonging that define Celta. His continued presence not only strengthens the club’s sporting project but is also a source of pride for the entire sky-blue family.
Congratulations, Pablo!
