With seven players who recently featured for the youth team, Celta approached the game with maturity, finding advantages through the middle and intelligently utilizing the flanks. Their passing was fluid and their attacks constant, but they lacked the finishing touch to convert their dominance into a lead.
The only goal of the match came from the penalty spot after a foul by Lamine Yamal, who then converted it himself. Until that point, Barcelona had barely troubled Andrei Radu’s goal. The goal, coupled with a lengthy stoppage, slowed the pace of a first half that Celta had dominated.

El conjunto de Claudio Giráldez firmó un arranque de gran nivel, con una primera media hora en la que combinó orden defensivo, presión coordinada y capacidad para sostener posesiones largas ante el líder de la competición. Con siete futbolistas con pasado reciente en el filial, el Celta interpretó el partido con madurez, encontrando ventajas por dentro y activando con criterio los carriles. La circulación fue fluida y las llegadas constantes, pero faltó precisión en la finalización para traducir ese dominio en ventaja.
El único tanto del partido llegó desde el punto de penalti tras una acción provocada por Lamine Yamal, que él mismo transformó. Hasta ese momento, el conjunto azulgrana apenas había inquietado la portería de Andrei Radu.
