Celta take part in the Football Clubs’ Museums, Archives and Historical Heritage Departments Conference

RC Celta

Celta were present at the first edition of the Football Clubs’ Museums, Archives and Historical Heritage Departments Conference, held on 29 and 30 September at Camp de Mestalla and organised by Valencia CF through the Heritage Department of Fundació VCF.

Representing Celta was Juan Adell, the club’s official historian, who took part in this working meeting alongside representatives of other football clubs and various institutions involved in the preservation, research and dissemination of football’s historical and cultural heritage.

The conference brought together representatives from 17 clubs, including Celta, as well as professionals from the Heritage Restoration Institute of the Universitat Politècnica de València, l’ETNO – Museu Valencià d’Etnologia, the Regional Ministry of Culture and specialised publications.

The event served as a meeting point to share experiences, projects and working methods related to the management of archives, documentary collections, museums and historical heritage departments within football organisations. It was an opportunity to share the work carried out by the clubs to preserve and promote their history.

Celta would like to thank Valencia CF for the invitation and for organising this first conference, which provides a space for meeting and collaboration between those responsible for preserving the history of some of the longest-established clubs in Spanish football.
