Celta has been awarded as the best European club in the category Best Hospitality Initiative of the Year at the ESSMA Awards 2025, the most prestigious awards in the continent for stadium management, fan experience, and safety.

The award ceremony took place this afternoon at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, one of the technological temples of European football. Raquel Lozano, head of operations at Abanca Balaídos, and Ismael Fernández, infrastructure architect, traveled there to attend the gala, where Celta shared a nomination with clubs such as Juventus of Turin and CD Leganés.

This recognition places Abanca Balaídos among the great stadiums of Europe, highlighting its commitment to offering a premium and close experience for fans, who cease to be mere spectators to live each match from within, almost like one more player.

David González, head of the Celta area, emphasized that this award “is a reflection of the passion and Celta spirit with which the entire team works.” For the club, making a name for itself in the European scene, both in sports and beyond, “is a source of pride and proof that when you take care of the fan, it shows—and Europe appreciates it.”

The club wants to thank the ESSMA Awards for considering Celta among the continent’s greats also beyond the pitch. A source of pride for the club and for all Celta supporters.
