Celta has signed a collaboration and sponsorship agreement with the Association Hummel Academie Football Senegal (AHAFS), aiming to achieve greater sporting and social outreach in one of the most promising football regions on the African continent.
This agreement, with an initial duration of ten years, has as its main objective the identification and development of young Senegalese talents for their future incorporation into the club’s youth academy.
In addition to talent detection and evaluation, the Galician club will provide technical advice, implement the Celta methodology, and offer the academy technological resources to optimize player performance.
Beyond football, this alliance represents a commitment to social and educational development in Senegal, as Celta will also implement academic training programs for players and coaches to enhance the skills and opportunities of young Senegalese both on and off the pitch, fostering an environment of human and educational growth.
Miguel Álvarez, a member of the club’s board, spoke about this new alliance and highlighted that “Senegal offers ideal conditions for this partnership. It is a young, growing country that sees education and sport as drivers of development, and it is also passionate about football.”
With this agreement, Celta de Vigo takes another step forward in its international mission, reaffirming its commitment to football as a driver of social development and as a bridge between cultures.
