RC Celta

Celta and the University of Vigo have formalized a new collaboration agreement within the framework of the Celta360project, consolidating a relationship that unites sports, education, research, and community. This initiative will be developed in partnership with EUSES Vigo, part of the Metrodora group, which already participates in the academic dimension of the project, and which aims to help provide high-quality university education in state-of-the-art facilities. With this alliance, Celta360 will not only expand its educational impact, but will also contribute to the sporting, technological, and community development of the region, creating a space where learning, research, and sports mutually reinforce each other for the benefit of all.

The agreement establishes that Celta, through Celta360, will collaborate with the University of Vigo to promote joint activities in education, research, and community development. The agreement formalizes the affiliation of the project with the University, which will allow, once authorized by the competent authorities, the offering of programs leading to official degrees issued by the University of Vigo. In addition, both parties will work on research programsand organize seminars, conferences, and workshops, sharing facilities, laboratories, and bibliographic resourcesaccording to academic needs, in a collaboration that highlights the importance of the University of Vigo as a center of knowledge and reinforces the club’s commitment to education and the comprehensive development of individuals.

Marián Mouriño, president of Celta, emphasized that the club is “very happy to reach this agreement among the three parties: metrodora, with its broad national and international projection; and the University of Vigo, which brings the quality seal we want to guarantee in everything we offer. Three serious institutions united in a highly relevant educational project for Galicia.” For his part, Manuel Reigosa, rector of the University of Vigo, also stated that they are “very excited about this new agreement. It is a pride and a joy to collaborate hand in hand with Celta. Not long ago, we had one for the development of the archaeological excavations carried out here, and now we are laying the foundations for an affiliated center where teaching will be very complementary to what the University of Vigo offers, with a high level of quality and usefulness for society.” Likewise, Jordi Roche, president of metrodora, valued this collaboration as “an important step, as this relationship will allow training future professionals who will provide added value not only to Celta but also to the territory. It is a high-level educational project, with the vocation to generate knowledge that further boosts the development of Vigo and its surroundings.”

This agreement reinforces Celta’s commitment to educational and social excellence, aligning with the values of Celta360, a comprehensive project that aspires to be a reference in sports, health, sustainability, and innovation, creating jobs, promoting research, and offering specialized education that connects the academic world with professional practice.
