Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga Santander, accompanied by our president, Carlos Mouriño, has visited the Cidade Deportiva Afouteza to highlight the leadership of RC Celta, within the 20 teams that make up the elite of Spanish football, in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Carlos Mouriño opened the event, which was attended by the mayor of Mos, Nidia Arévalo, stating that “Social responsibility is a before and after in companies and in the world of sports. Social responsibility is key in the engine of football”.
The president of LaLiga Santander, Javier Tebas, highlighted the success story of RC Celta ensuring that “within LaLiga there are other leagues just as important. And here RC Celta is champion. The club leads in social responsibility, and that is a success”.
“In order to lead Social Responsibility, you have to believe in it, and the work of RC Celta is a unique example” he pointed out.
𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐱𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐢, CSR manager of LaLiga, exposed the celestial leadership in this matter: “The #RCCelta is the only football club with an environmental certification. We have sought that their program be transmitted to the rest of the clubs. It is an undisputed leader in sustainability”.
On her part, María José Herbón, corporate director of RC Celta, showed the general lines of work of the club in CSR stating that “in this company we work day by day to increase the success stories that we already have in CSR”.
A round table was later held in which María García, Sustainability Coordinator of ABANCA; Pedro Hortas, Director of Communication and External Relations of Stellantis and Miguel Ángel Fernández, Marketing Director of LG, participated, under the moderation of María José Herbón and David Baixauli.
