Emotional farewell in A Sede to Felipe Miñambres: “one of our own, a Celtista” leaves.

“We are here to wish the best to one of our own, to a celtista”. This was the first sentence, a message full of sincerity and affection, from Carlos Mouriño, president of RC Celta, at the press conference to bid farewell to Felipe Miñambres as the club’s sporting director, held this morning in the Salón Regio at A Sede.

With the words of the president began an emotional, heartfelt appearance, full of gratitude and admiration: “Although it is true that time does not do everything, feelings do. Felipe has been with us for almost six years, but I believe that the Celtic feeling will remain with him permanently”, said Carlos Mouriño, who added that “many times we value the sporting aspects exclusively, what is achieved on the field, the points. Here we value much more than that, we value people, their dedication, their commitment… and therefore we value Felipe Miñambres very much”.

“Best of luck wherever you are, you know that here you will have your home, that you have friends, that you have a home”, commented the sky blue president, who also referred with great affection to Ángel Medina: “We say the same to you, we have lived very intimate and personal moments, those moments that go beyond the sporting part, as we said before. Thank you very much and much success”.

Felipe Miñambres began by thanking the president and Antonio Chaves “for having thought of me five and a half years ago” and turned to Mouriño to underline that gratitude: “I have always felt loved beyond the results or problems, I have felt loved and valued because you have shared many situations with me, with your grandchildren and your children. I have felt like one of your family and that is very difficult in a relationship between president and employee”.

After extending his thanks to the directors, he highlighted the support of the fans, “because in those bad moments, which there have been, the fans pulled everyone, the team and the club, to move forward in a very difficult situation”, in reference to A Nosa Reconquista.

“I have felt respected and loved, I will be happy for the successes that RC Celta can achieve from now on”, concluded Miñambres.
