Today, September 1, 2026, a new season begins at the Celta football schools. The project, which until now operated under the Celta Academy brand, will now be known as ESCOLAS CELTA360. The name change represents an evolution of the brand, while the project’s commitment to the development of young footballers remains unchanged. ESCOLAS CELTA360 will continue to use football as a tool for boys and girls to enjoy sport, improve their footballing abilities and get closer to Celta at the sports facilities of A Madroa and other locations.
Registrations for the new season are already open and will remain available throughout the season while places are available. The programme is aimed at boys and girls aged between 4 and 16, with different options adapted to the needs of each participant.
While A Canteira Experience, the new international programme that the club has also promoted this year, aims to bring Celta’s youth football methodology and expertise closer to players and organisations from other countries, ESCOLAS CELTA360 focuses its programme on the local and national level, offering boys and girls the opportunity to develop and enjoy football under Celta’s methodology without leaving their local environment.
A School for every stage
ESCOLAS CELTA360 will offer different programmes to support young footballers through the various stages of their development. The MIUDIÑOS INTRODUCTION SCHOOL, aimed at the youngest players, will be their gateway to football and Celta, with a methodology based on fun, socialisation and learning the most basic football skills that are fundamental at the beginning of their development.
The CELTA360 LEARNING SCHOOL will allow players to deepen their understanding of the game and develop their technical, coordination and motor skills, while also incorporating competition as part of the development process.
For those looking to continue taking steps forward in their footballing development, the CELTA360 TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL will offer more specialised work on technical skills, tactical concepts, different positions and psychomotor development, similar to the approach used by Celta’s youth teams, helping young footballers develop the skills required to play attractive football.
Specialised training will also have its own space. The SERGIO ÁLVAREZ GOALKEEPERS SCHOOL will focus on the specific demands of the position, with the aim of improving technical aspects as well as ball skills, communication and concentration, with the ongoing guidance of our great goalkeeper Sergio Álvarez.
Meanwhile, the CELTA360 PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL will work on the footballer’s fundamental physical abilities (endurance, strength, speed and flexibility), integrating them with the technical and tactical aspects of the game.
The programme is completed by the CELTA360 ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL, where players will receive individualised player-coach work designed to provide exclusive improvement in the specific abilities most demanded by each player.
All schools are mixed-gender and allow girls and boys to participate on equal terms. We also offer specific girls’ programmes through the AS CELTAS CELTA360 TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT AND LEARNING SCHOOLS, designed to continue promoting women’s grassroots football.
Training with Celta’s methodology
One of the main attractions of ESCOLAS CELTA360 will be the opportunity to train following a methodology directly linked to A Canteira and to compete in official federation competitions every weekend. Across the different school programmes, content and activities aligned with those used by the club’s youth teams will be worked on, always adapted to the age and level of each group.
With the launch of ESCOLAS CELTA360, Celta is giving a new identity to an established project with experience and a strong track record, while maintaining its essence and expanding the opportunities for every boy and girl to find their place in football and continue growing with Celta.
