Estrella Galicia renews as RC Celta`s main sponsor

RC Celta and Hijos de Rivera have agreed to extend their sponsorship and collaboration agreement that maintains the company and its brand Estrella Galicia as the club’s main sponsor. The agreement between both entities extends beyond ten years, which is a milestone of loyalty, understanding and commitment in this close relationship between the two.

Estrella Galicia will appear on the front of the RC Celta first team jersey for the next four seasons and the brand will be present in other sections, club facilities, tickets and VIP experiences, as well as in different contents and activations of the club.

This relationship will therefore continue beyond the year 2023, which will mark a historic milestone for the club and its fans, as the RC Celta will be 100 years old, so Hijos de Rivera will also be the main sponsor of the club’s centenary.

The agreement between both entities extends to the hospitality businesses of the Celta Group, represented mainly by the Michelin Star restaurant ‘Silabario’, and the RC Celta Foundation, which manages the club’s youth categories and its training programs, as well as the numerous activities and initiatives of a social, educational and integrating nature.

Hijos de Rivera’s water brand, Cabreiroá, will continue to be the club’s official water and the main sponsor of the club’s youth teams and the Foundation’s training campuses. The agreement includes products for the players and coaches of the club’s teams and the Foundation. In addition, Hijos de Rivera products will continue to be available at the club’s points of sale in all its facilities.

With this agreement, the Estrella Galicia brand reaffirms its commitment to Galician soccer and demonstrates the commitment of the Galician brewery to RC Celta and its fans.

The President of the club, Carlos Mouriño, pointed out that “at RC Celta we are very happy and very proud to be able to continue working with Hijos de Rivera. Both their brands and products, as well as their employees and friends, are already part of the Celta family, and have been great Celta fans for years. For us it will be a pleasure to celebrate the return of the public to the stadium with them, and to celebrate together the Centenary of the club in the near future. In addition, this renewal is very important in the process of growth and expansion of both entities at national and international level, through a commitment to local talent”.

For his part, José Cabanas, CMO of Hijos de Rivera, said: “This agreement comes at a particularly motivating time for both parties because both Celta and in our case, in our expansion phase, we are trying to bring in new talent, to conquer new markets and there is no doubt that we all need our partners. I believe that together, we will go further”.

RC Celta has been in La Liga Santander for 10 consecutive seasons, in the 1st Division, and always in the Top-10 in terms of audiences and followers, and celebrates its 98th anniversary this year. And this past season, it has been the second team in the five major European leagues that has used more homegrown players in its first team, behind Athletic Club, which only plays with players of Basque origin. This commitment to youth and local talent is a sporting pillar of the institution and even has a denomination of origin.
