Exciting move for the future of RC Celta. One of the most promising players of the sky blue youth academy links his growth to the club. Gabri Veiga will be an RC Celta player until June 2026 after signing a contract that adds to the one already sealed a few weeks ago by another young academy player with great potential, the central defender Carlos Domínguez.

Gabri Veiga is having a fantastic season with Celta B in the RFEF First Division, a category in which the second team is in the play off positions for promotion to the Second Division. The academy player is the top scorer of Onésimo’s team together with Miguel Rodríguez with 9 goals, some of them really spectacular.

Gabri Veiga, who this season has played in different positions, from center midfielder to inside midfielder or second striker, has accumulated 30 games this season, more than 60 in the celtico second team and 12 in the first team.

Gabri, porriñés of 19 years of age, arrived at RC Celta in alevín category, the 2013/2014 season. He is clear about what the sky blue crest means to him: “For me it is afotueza, heart, tradition and above all a lot of pride to wear it on my chest every weekend”.

Gabri Veiga is committed to “give the maximum in every game, every training session, every minute I can have in the first team or in the second team” and emphasizes that after signing his contract he feels “a huge happiness”.

“I want to thank my family, friends and my girlfriend who helped me all this time to achieve these goals and also the club for the trust they put in me. I really want to continue growing in the RC Celta, which is what I consider my home and where I want to stay for many more years,” adds the academy, who also expresses his gratitude to the celtismo: “ours is a great fan and I am very grateful for the support. It always fills you with happiness to know that the fans are with you and I hope it continues like this for many more years”.
