In the coming weeks, RC Celta will start phase II of the Cidade Deportiva Afouteza-GS360 project, a multifunctional complex that will allow young athletes to complete their training in a high performance environment. An ambitious project with a clear objective: to strengthen RC Celta’s A Canteira and position the club as a benchmark in academic and sporting training at international level.
A complex that includes a mini stadium, 5 new training fields for the youth and cadet teams of RC Celta and As Celtas, the Training Centre, where university and vocational training courses will be taught in subjects related to health and sport, a residence for the players of the academy and Academys and for students, a catering area to service the complex and a hotel for visitors, athletes and participants in the academic, cultural and social events that are organised. The infrastructure will culminate with two areas dedicated to sports clinics and innovation in sport.
Cidade Deportiva Afouteza GS-360 encompasses different main lines: research laboratories, culture, leisure, sports tourism, sports medicine, facilities for the practice of all sports, etc. A firm commitment for the benefit of Galician sport to capitalise on the enormous work done by individual sports federations and clubs.
