Iago’s great season is not going unnoticed for Celta fans. He is the Spanish national leading scorer in First Division. In a survey conducted on the club’s oficial social networks, the Celta supporters have chosen Aspas as the Estrella Galicia player of the month of January with 61% of the votes, followed by Lobotka (25%) and Ruben Blanco (14%). Its the second time this season he achieves such honor.
Aspas collected the award at the Madroa from the manager of the Esmoga beer pub, who was acknowledged as well as hotelier of the month by Estrella Galicia in January and was awarded a Celta jersey signed by all the players of the RC Celta squad. On receiving the award, Aspas did not forget to mention his teammates and fans, and showed appreciation for both for their support.
Two of the fans who voted for the player of the month of January award on Facebook and Twitter, Jorge Blanco and Nuria Guimeráns, were awarded double tickets to the league match between Celta and Éibar next Saturday.
