The former coach lived with intensity the hours before the match against his home team, but undoubtedly he will not forget the affection shown by the sky blue fans when he stepped on the Abanca Balaídos pitch to perform the kick-off.
It was an emotional moment for Eusebio Sacristán, who, accompanied by the club’s president, Carlos Mouriño, entered the field through the tunnel to receive a warm ovation from the celtismo and meet again with one of the youth academy players who made his debut in the first team, Hugo Mallo, at that time still a youth player and currently captain of RC Celta.
