Celta welcomes the iconic Vigo restaurant as the first food and beverage establishment open to the general public at its stadium
This Friday, ABANCA Balaídos will inaugurate La Aldeana, the stadium’s first restaurant open to the general public. The iconic Vigo establishment, renowned for its traditional Galician cuisine and specialities such as octopus and Spanish omelette, is expanding its presence in the city with a new venue at the heart of Celta culture.
The arrival of La Aldeana marks another step forward in the transformation of ABANCA Balaídos, which has been designed to evolve beyond its sporting activities and become a vibrant, dynamic space open to Vigo all year round. The addition of new dining and leisure options is part of Celta’s commitment to expanding the stadium’s uses and strengthening its connection with the city.

With this opening, the club continues to develop its new vision for Balaídos, following the Vigo City Council’s formal granting of the stadium concession. This vision embraces the coexistence of sport, gastronomy, experiences and new services for supporters and the wider public. The aim is to create new opportunities for people to meet and engage in activities around one of Vigo’s most iconic venues, including on non-match days.

“We are delighted to be able to open a new restaurant here at ABANCA Balaídos. We want to offer a dynamic dining experience and concept while staying true to tradition and using products from our region,” explains Manuel David Domínguez, owner of La Aldeana.
“The opening of La Aldeana is another step forward in the way we understand Celta’s growth. We want our facilities to evolve alongside the club, allowing us to expand our activities, create new opportunities and strengthen our connection with our community. Our stadium has enormous potential, and we are working to develop it while always preserving our identity and our commitment to the city,” explains David González, Director of the Celtista Area.
The inauguration of La Aldeana marks another milestone in Celta’s growth as a club, reinforcing its commitment to facilities that evolve in line with its sporting and social ambitions.
