The jersey for the 24/25 season: a tribute from Celta and Hummel to all Galicia

RC Celta and Hummel launch their partnership by presenting a jersey with significant symbolism for the Celta community and all of Galicia. The garment with which the Vigo club will play its 101st season pays a heartfelt tribute to the club’s roots and the founders’ desire in 1923: to proudly represent Galicia.

Hummel’s first design for Celta includes the names of the 313 municipalities in the Galician geography on the sky-blue fabric. Each of these municipalities has its space on the new jersey, visible through the now-iconic typography designed by Xosé Vizoso for the centenary. This representation of all Galicia is why the new kit is presented under the slogan “Non pode ser máis de aquí” (“It couldn’t be more from here”).

Hummel, founded like Celta in 1923, has shown a very special sensitivity in designing this new jersey. The new technical sponsor of Celta has perfectly understood the importance for the club to represent Galicia to the world, thus facilitating the creation of a unique and inimitable garment. Thus, together with the Danish brand, the close relationship between Celta and all of Galicia is highlighted, continuing the club’s commitment to Galician roots, culture, and language.

The jersey also features a spectacular collar that mimics the early Celta kits, marked by the classic laces characteristic of jerseys from 100 years ago. The new garment simulates these laces without sacrificing comfort and style.

Additionally, the iconic chevrons of the Danish brand are included on the shoulders, along with the classic Hummel logo. The classic Celta crest on the chest is restored after the Centenary celebrations.

Regarding the fabric, the kit is made with Hummel® BeeCool technology, which eliminates moisture and keeps the body dry, essential for playing football and everyday use.

A spectacular ad that brings the lyrics of “Oliveira dos Cen Anos” to all of Galicia

The relationship between Celta and Hummel also marks a step forward in the presentation of the kits. In this case, the new jersey is unveiled in a spectacular ad that travels through the Galician geography using the lyrics of the anthem “Oliveira dos Cen Anos.” Dozens of Galician municipalities feature in the piece, through the signage and road signs that identify them on the roads.

The filming involved an extraordinary journey to find and capture the essence of our land and its people. From the most remote villages to the largest towns, the ad portrays their place names to become part of the lyrics of the acclaimed composition by C. Tangana.

The result is an advertising piece that makes all Galicians feel involved and part of something bigger. An ad that not only conveys a message but also emotionally reflects the collaborative spirit and diversity of Galicia. This unique approach of the ad not only reinforces the connection with our fans but also highlights Celta and Hummel’s commitment to the community and local culture.
