The RC Celta youth academy is a reference both nationally and internationally for its methodology, proposals and results. Far from stagnating or conforming, the club takes a new and important step towards the improvement of the lower categories. RC Celta and Gran Peña FC, a historical club of the city, have closed an agreement for the first team of the latter to be integrated into the structure of the sky blue youth team.
Thus, RC Celta C-Gran Peña is born, a team that becomes the second team of the sky blue club with the aim of promoting the development of the young celtico players on their way to Celta B.
The great competitive gap, increased this year with the promotion, between Celta B and the Juvenil youth team will be reduced in this way with an intermediate second team that will enhance the growth of the sky blue promises.
The agreement between RC Celta and Gran Peña will be valid for an initial period of three years and will start with a squad that will combine players from both clubs, together with some incorporations of young Galician football values.
The team will wear the RC Celta kit and will play their home matches at the Barreiro Field.
