RC Celta and Xunta de Galicia join forces to promote professional training in the sports field

RC Celta

RC Celta and the Department of Education of the Xunta de Galicia have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting the training of young people through sport. This agreement will allow students of Vocational Training, in specialized cycles in sports activities, to carry out their practices in the club’s facilities, and opens the door to future lines of joint work in the framework of the dual FP. At the signing ceremony were present: the president of RC Celta, Marián Mouriño; the Regional Minister of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training, Román Rodríguez; the territorial delegate of the Xunta in Vigo, Ana Ortiz; and the general director of Vocational Training, Eugenia Pérez.

Marián Mouriño valued this agreement as a fundamental step in the club’s training strategy. “This agreement is a very important step for young people to find in Celta a space in which to begin to develop their professional career. It is a significant step forward both for the Consellería and for the club, which has always had among its priorities to train talent from within, with our values, our methodology and our identity. This is just the beginning of a path that will continue to grow with the Afouteza Sports City and the GS360 project”.

Román Rodríguez also stressed the importance of this alliance. “From the Xunta we want Vocational Training to be a useful tool for the Galician society and collaborating with an institution as relevant as RC Celta is of great help to achieve it. Thanks to this agreement, the students will be able to carry out internships in facilities with top level equipment. This is a very positive synergy for the students, for Celta and for Galicia”.

The agreement represents a key milestone for the Department of Education and for RC Celta, as it reaffirms the commitment of both to training, innovation and the development of real opportunities for new generations. But it is also a strategic alliance for Galicia, which will strengthen its role as a sporting, educational and social reference.
