RC Celta takes a giant step towards a hopeful and exciting future. The Council of Mos approved this afternoon the construction license that will make possible the real and immediate start in the parish of Pereiras of the sky-blue sports city, an absolutely necessary project for the development and improvement of the daily working conditions of both the first team and the youth academy.
After completing the logging and cleaning of the area, the construction works of the first two fields of natural grass and the first phase of the building necessary to ensure adequate services began immediately. The works have been awarded to a 100% Galician company, Francisco Gómez y Cía.
The project, designed by Irisarri and Piñera, for RC Celta sports city stands out above all for its maximum respect for the environment and for its sober capacity to brilliantly satisfy the needs of both the quarry and the first team.
The innovative sports city of RC Celta in Mos will have, among other facilities, eight playgrounds (four natural and four artificial), technology area, beach area for rehabilitation and other activities, stadium with a minimum capacity of 4,000 spectators, paddle and tennis courts, swimming pool, residence, cafeteria-restaurant, club shop, sports university, multipurpose sports pavilion and gyms.
