Thank you, 2025. Welcome, 2026.

RC Celta

There are years you never forget. Years that can’t be explained with numbers or standings, but with feelings. 2025 was one of those. A year to cherish in the memory and hearts of all of us who feel this shield as part of our lives.

Because if we close our eyes, surely many of us will recall the same image, that same feeling. The final matchday of LaLiga. The Coliseum awash in sky-blue. Thousands of Celta fans away from home, but feeling right at home. The ball travels from Williot’s boots to the far post, and there he is, Iago Aspas, to tap it in and unleash everything. A goal that wrote another page in the history of this club. A goal that finally erased a thorn in our side from eight years ago. A goal that not only secured European qualification, but also encapsulated who we are. A goal that is pure emotion.

That moment was the perfect ending to a season with a clear vision, developed with patience and conviction. An idea that can’t be understood solely from the pitch. It’s understood through identity. From a homegrown project that continued to take root, with the youth academy gaining prominence and a team that never lost its connection with its fans. Abanca Balaídos once again became that place where emotions flow, where we all pull together as one, and where every matchday our home became a true fortress.

A fortress built with the warmth of a fanbase that never fails and to whom words cannot express our gratitude for such affection. This year we reached a historic milestone: 40,000 Celta supporters spread across the globe, a number that grew with the arrival of little Roi, who, at just a few hours old, already carried the sky blue in his heart, reminding us that some passions are inherited and passed on without needing to be explained.

2025 will also be etched in our memories for what we experienced with Celta. In their first season, they achieved two promotions and had a historic year, confirming that the project born from a dream is now a reality. A reality that opens doors and creates role models for hundreds of girls and young women who dream of one day defending this shield with the strength of Ana Toubes or any of the players who write another page in our history every day.

Opportunities that are also growing beyond our borders through the schools opened in Senegal, where soccer is becoming a tool for social transformation, capable of giving hundreds of children and young people a new life in which they can develop their sporting skills in a safe environment.

This year has also been symbolic of growth for the club with the start of construction on Celta360, which is gradually emerging from the ground in Afouteza and will place the club at the epicenter of sports not only in Galicia but also at the European level. The project is progressing steadily and has been recognized with the prestigious BREEAM Urbanism certification, making Celta the first club in the world to achieve this distinction.

It has been an intense twelve months. Twelve months full of moments difficult to summarize in just a few lines. But if this year has taught us anything, it is the certainty that the best part is experiencing it together. Sharing a passion that sometimes makes us laugh and other times makes us suffer, yes, but that always keeps us united. With afouteza, with heart, and with the pride of belonging to something that goes far beyond.

Now all that’s left is to say thank you. Thank you to 2025 for everything we’ve experienced. And for 2026, we wish everyone health, happiness, and many more moments to continue walking together, as what we are: one big Celta family.

Thank you for being there, Happy New Year, and Sempre, Sempre Celta!
