RC Celta got a worthy draw against Atlético de Madrid (2-2) in a match in which the team deserved much more after being clearly dominant from the opening whistle until the very end.
RC Celta completely dominated the first half, moving the ball at will and pressing superbly after losing the ball. As a result of the good play, Santi Mina headed in a great cross from Hugo Mallo. Atlético equalized on the verge of the break on its first chance.
The second half started with a new goal by Suárez in a play in which the sky-blue players asked for offside by Lodi. Eduardo Coudet’s players did not give up and continued to dominate and accumulate dangerous arrivals and in one of them, a genius move by Aspas allowed Solari to assist Ferreyra to tie the game.
