Borja Iglesias wins his first Estrella Galicia award after completing an exceptional month. The youth player was chosen by Celta fans as the best RC Celta player of the month of April after beating Fran Beltrán, Javi Rodríguez, and Yoel Lago in the final round of voting.
“It’s a great experience, but above all, being able to help the team contribute and continue enjoying it“, Borja acknowledged upon receiving the award, demonstrating the importance of perseverance and teamwork to achieve goals in a month in which he felt “very comfortable, very happy, and eager for more“.
This recognition caps off a month that will surely be unforgettable for the Galician footballer, who, in the match against FC Barcelona, scored the first hat-trick of his First Division career, a very special moment of which he confesses he will remember “the way my teammates celebrated it; it seemed more like theirs than mine“.
In this recognition, Borja underlined the values that define the sky blue dressing room: unity, camaraderie, and a balance between youth and experience. The forward wanted to highlight the energy, talent, and learning capacity of the younger players, who contribute to a very positive working atmosphere.
