In his first interview since his definitive return to Celta, Borja Iglesias shared his impressions of this eagerly awaited return to Vigo with Celta Media. The Santiago-born striker spoke about the months he spent away from the club and made it clear that “in my mind, there was no other option but to come to Celta. I’m very happy to be here.“ He also took stock of last season, assessing not only the numbers, but how ”coming back here made me feel important again, both on and off the field.”
Regarding the new season, Borja acknowledged that he arrives “with a lot of enthusiasm, knowing that it will be a tough year, but we’re going to dream because I think we work well that way. So let’s go for it.”
Finally, the youth player did not want to miss the opportunity to thank the Celta fans for all their support. “Thank you for the affection I have felt since the end of last season. I’m sure we’re going to enjoy this year a lot and, even if we suffer, with you guys it will surely be easier and very enjoyable.”
