Up to three players trained in A Madroa -Iago Aspas (RC Celta), Jonny (Wolverhampton) and Rodrigo (Valencia)- coincided on the pitch of Millenium Stadium in Cardiff with the Spanish National Team jersey, a milestone that highlights the power of the sky-blue academy and the great work done by RC Celta and its Foundation in its commitment to youth football.
The Spanish team beat the Welsh National Team (1-4) in a clash in which the Celtic Iago Aspas participated from minute 71. It was in the final stretch of the match when the three academy players coincided. Jonny and Aspas even came close to scoring a goal ‘made in A Madroa’ that is sure to come in the near future.
