Celta has reached an agreement with Claudio Giráldez to extend his contract as head coach of the first team through June 2028, ensuring the continuity of a project that continues to inspire excitement each season.
The club’s commitment to the Galician coach has resulted in an impeccable track record since March 2024, when he took over the Celta bench. During this time, the first team has grown to establish itself in prominent positions in LaLiga, with a return to European competitions, where it has once again competed with character, reaching, for the moment, the quarterfinals of the UEL.
This evolution has gone hand in hand with a clear identity and a firm commitment to A Madroa, featuring a prominent role for players developed in the youth academy, within a club model also shared from the bench, with a homegrown coaching staff whose members are also renewing their contracts in their entirety.
With this agreement, Celta and Claudio Giráldez continue to grow together on a path that is sure to make history at the club.
