Celta added a meritorious point in Mestalla after overcoming an initial goal from Valencia. The Vigo team were surpassed in the first half and were better in the second, in which Iago Aspas scored the equaliser with a great header.
After an even start, with a slow and organized Celta, Valencia accelerated in various actions and enjoyed several dangerous approaches. After 25 minutes, the local team took the lead in a move that finished in a one-on-one between Batshuayi and Sergio.
