RC Celta

Celta and PSV Eindhoven have reached an agreement for the transfer of Couhaib Driouech, who has signed a four-year contract and will join the sky-blue club until 2030. The Moroccan winger will embark on his first experience outside the Netherlands after spending his entire professional career in the Eredivisie.

At 24 years old, Driouech is a right-footed winger who primarily operates on the left flank, although he can also play on the right. His profile offers speed, dribbling ability, and the capacity to create advantages in the final third, particularly excelling in one-on-one situations, changes of pace, and his ability to exploit space behind the defense. His characteristics perfectly suit Claudio Giráldez’s system, so his arrival will provide depth, unpredictability and new attacking options for Celta.

The player arrives in Vigo with a strong reputation based on his performances at PSV Eindhoven. Last season he played 40 matches, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists. Driouech also boasts experience in Europe’s top competition. He has participated in 12 Champions League matches, scoring four goals and providing two assists. His standout performances include the match against Liverpool last season, where he scored a brace and was named MVP.

Born in Haarlem, the forward began his career at Excelsior Rotterdam and later played for SC Heerenveen before joining PSV. A Moroccan U-23 international, he now embarks on a new chapter in his career under the guidance of Claudio Giráldez.

With the arrival of Driouech, Celta adds a young player with experience at the highest level and a profile with room for further development in what promises to be another exciting season.

Welcome, Driouech!
