Celta and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC have reached an agreement for the loan of Fer López until the end of the season. The striker returns to Vigo to bolster the sky-blues for the second half of the league campaign and to face the exciting European challenge following their recent qualification for the Europa League Round of 32.
In the Celta’s youth academy, A Madroa, since the age of nine, Fer López returns to what has always been his home after embarking on a new chapter in English football. During his time with Wolves, the academy graduate made a total of 12 official appearances, providing one assist and gaining valuable experience in one of the most demanding leagues in the world.
The forward will now once again be under the guidance of Claudio Giráldez and rejoins a team he knows perfectly and where he has already demonstrated his competitive spirit. Before his move to the Premier League, Fer López was a key player for Celta Fortuna, which earned him a place in the first team. He debuted in both the Copa del Rey and LaLiga, where he made 17 appearances and scored two goals.
His return is a significant boost to the squad at a crucial point in the season and also marks the return of a player deeply connected to the club’s values and philosophy, as well as its youth academy and fans.
Celta welcomes Fer López and wishes him every success in this new chapter wearing the sky-blue crest.
Welcome, Fer!
