Abanca Balaídos hosted the official presentation of Couhaib Driouech as a Celta player this Monday. The forward spoke to the media for the first time alongside Sergio Álvarez and Marco Garcés, who expressed their delight at his arrival.
Excited about this new challenge, Couhaib wanted to clear up any doubts about his physical condition and assured that he is already “in full fitness”. “I feel good, I am fit, I am available and I am ready to play,” he said.
Speaking about his adaptation, Driouech highlighted everything he has found since arriving in Vigo. “I love the stadium and the facilities,” he said, before describing the atmosphere within the squad. “The dressing room is a family, there are some really great players and it is a pleasure to play alongside them.” The forward also thanked his new teammates for their warm welcome and for helping him settle in.
With his focus on the work and the day-to-day, the attacker set himself the goal of continuing to develop as a Celta player. “I am 24 years old and I still have room to improve,” he acknowledged, with the aim of gaining “more consistency and regularity” in his game.
Asked about Sunday’s match against Athletic Club, Couhaib praised the demands posed by the opposition and looked ahead. “We have to build on the good feelings and carry them into the next matches,” he concluded.
