RC Celta couldn’t gift their supporters a victory, despite a packed Abanca Balaídos, in the season opener against CA Osasuna.
The celestes battled hard and worked tirelessly to take the lead, but it was Jagoba Arrasate’s side that opened the scoring with a goal from Rubén García in the 24th minute.
After the break, Celta came back onto the pitch with the intent of turning the game around. However, a goal from Moi Gómez in the 74th minute crushed Rafa Benítez’s team’s hopes, concluding the league’s first matchday without a point.
On Saturday, August 19, RC Celta will have another chance to earn points as they visit Real Sociedad in San Sebastián.
