RC Celta conquers the Benito Villamarín guided by Iago Aspas’ brace

RC Celta

Great sky blue victory in a very complicated field as Real Betis. RC Celta had not won at the Benito Villamarín since 2014 and broke the statistics with an outstanding match in which Iago Aspas shone with his own light. The player from Moaña opened the scoring in the first half from the penalty spot, a penalty awarded after Franco Cervi was brought down in the Betis area.

When halftime was approaching, Iago Aspas signed a new masterpiece to continue enlarging his legend. The Galician dribbled all the players he came across and sent the ball into the back of the net with mastery to put the 0-2 on the scoreboard. Coudet’s men came out for the second half with the aim of keeping the result, although Santi Mina had several chances to put the game to bed. Real Betis tried to close the gap, but RC Celta knew how to control the dynamics of the game until the final whistle. RC Celta starts 2022 in the best possible way.
