RC Celta has closed the signing of one of the rising stars of young Spanish players. Midfielder Fran Beltrán, a key player Rayo Vallecano and Second Division at the young age of 19, has signed for Celta for the next 5 seasons after RC Celta has paid his release clause at LaLiga.
Fran Beltrán (Madrid, 1999) was brought up in Getafe CF’s youth categories and, since 2013, in the Rayo Vallecano academy. The progress the Madrilian footballer has made has been meteoric from the very beginning. In 2015,at 16, he was part of Rayo B’s squad and debuted in Third Division, becoming a starter immediately. In the summer of 2016, Beltrán was promoted to Rayo Vallecano’s first team. After an excellent preseason, the young midfielder earned a spot in the team and debuted in Second Division as a starter on the first matchday of the 2016/2017 season.
Throughout two seasons, Beltrán has become a reference player in Rayo Vallecano, team with which he played 71 matches, and stand out as one of the best players in Second Division despite his young age. The talented player is known for his stamina, defense and ball-recovery capabilities, and great intelligence in handling the ball and moving the attack.
He has been a member of the Spanish Under-17 and Under-19 national squads, Beltrán is bound to become in RC Celta one of the biggest names in Spanish football.
