RC Celta and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC have closed the transfer of striker Fer López. The young youth player joins the English club to embark on a new career in the Premier League.
Fer arrived at A Madroa as a child, just nine years old, and since then has progressed through all the club’s youth teams thanks to his hard work, talent, and commitment to RC Celta’s values. This steady progression has allowed him to establish himself as one of the most promising players in the Celta youth system and to stand out as a key player for Celta Fortuna last season. His performance in the reserve team led him to make his first-team debut in the Copa del Rey against UD San Pedro and, shortly after, to his La Liga debut against Mallorca FC at Abanca Balaídos. In the top Spanish football competition, Fer López played a total of 17 matches, starting seven of them and scoring two goals, against Mallorca FC (in the second half of the season) and Villarreal CF.
Beyond the sporting aspect, Fer López has always been a role model both on and off the field for his dedication, kindness, and commitment. Therefore, RC Celta wishes him the best of luck in this new phase of his life in England and remarks that this will always be his home.
Thank you, Fer!
