Fran Beltrán begins a new stage in his sporting career after completing his transfer to Girona FC, thus ending a career with Celta that began in 2018.
The player arrived in Vigo eight seasons ago from Rayo Vallecano and gradually earned himself an undisputed place in the squad, to the point of becoming one of the team’s captains. His performance and reliability in midfield made him the third player with the most appearances in the First Division, with 263 games and more than 17,000 minutes, in which he always defended the Celta badge with pride and commitment. These values earned him the respect and affection of all the fans.
A native of Seseña, since his arrival Fran showed great involvement in both the club’s sporting project and its history, roots, and identity. It was precisely this respect for Galician culture and his naturalness that ended up building a bond that made Vigo not just a professional destination but his home.
Today, their paths are parting ways. Fran Beltrán is starting a new sporting chapter with the Catalan team, but Celta would like to thank him for his professionalism and dedication in defending the club’s colors over the years, wishing him all the best in this new professional journey that is now beginning.
Fran Beltrán will always be one of us, and Celta will always be his home.
Good luck!
