“Goalito” by Nolito for the fourth consecutive win (1-0)

RC Celta

The match started with a lot of equality between both teams. Getafe made it difficult for the sky blue to build their game in the early stages of the match, in which RC Celta could not get into the opponent’s area.

After twenty minutes of play, Coudet’s team started to wake up with some dangerous arrivals that did not take long to be effective. In the twenty-third minute, Denis Suarez sent a ball from the right flank that Santi Mina combed enough to send it to the feet of Nolito, at the far post. The player from Sanlúcar put his leg together and beat Soria low to put the first goal on the scoreboard.

Despite the goal, the dynamic of the match continued as before until halftime. Minutes before the time-out, Iván Villar made a fabulous save in a one-on-one with Ángel to prevent the equalizer.

In the second half the balance of the match was maintained from start to finish. The sky blue goalkeeper Iván Villar stood out again with several excellent saves that allowed the Vigo team to maintain their minimal advantage. In the final stretch of the match came two controversial plays: a hard tackle by Cucurella on Kevin that did not lead to a penalty, and a possible handball by Joseph Aidoo, dismissed after reviewing that it came from a rebound on the player’s own leg.

Celta was able to resist against a tough opponent and showed maturity as a team until the final whistle to secure three points that allow the sky-blues to continue dreaming of climbing positions in the standings with two games left to the end of the championship.
