An iconic player, committed, exemplary in all his forms, a leader and a good teammate, puts an end to his career in RC Celta. Gustavo Cabral, whose contract expires on 30th of June, will undertake a new sporting adventure away from the club where for seven years he showed exquisite professionalism and behavior. RC Celta can only thank him for all these years of “afouteza”, passion and absolute dedication and wish him the best of success wherever he goes.
There are many indelible images left by Cabral with the sky-blue jersey, there are many memories that will last in the memory of sky-blue fans after 230 games and more than 19,000 minutes of play. One example is his overtime goal against Shakhtar Donetsk, which sealed a place in the Round of 16 of the Europa League.
RC Celta is confident that his new club will allow him to return to Abanca Balaídos in August so that he can receive a more than deserved tribute during the celebration of the Quinocho Memorial match.
