Argentinian defender Gustavo Cabral, who has defended RC Celta’s jersey for the last seven seasons, wanted to say goodbye with a letter from the club and all Celta fans before starting a new professional stage.
“It’s time to say goodbye. These days have been full of emotions, images and memories that come to mind. I will not forget that day that I received the call to be part of this great family that welcomed me as one more of you.
Thank you for these last 7 years where we have had good moments and not so good ones that I will keep forever in my heart; I am happy to have been part of this club, so special for me and my family and sad because I have to leave.
I thank my colleagues and coaches who have come and gone and those who have been until the end of this beautiful stage.
I want to thank those people who work and help us day by day: medical staff, equipment managers, laundry workers, delegates, administration officials, executives, press, workers of A Madroa and Balaídos.
I also cannot forget to name this wonderful city that has made me and my family happy.
From now on, I take my player’s jersey off and put on a fan’s jersey just like any other one…
THIS ISN’T GOODBYE, JUST A SEE YOU SOON. GO CELTA!”
