RC Celta drew at Getafe (0-0) in a match where they showed their defensive improvement. Oscar Garcia’s team kept its discipline during the 90 minutes and got a very hard worked point.
The first half was characterized by the equality, but it was Getafe who came closer to the opponent’s goal. Rubén avoided the local goal with a sensational stop on a shot by Arambarri. RC Celta, on the other hand, tried to take lead off several counter-attacks to get ahead.
The second half followed the same dynamic. The sky-blue team defended well against the attacks of the Madrid team and looked for long balls at Smolov to create danger. With 15 minutes remaining, the referee forgave Damian Suarez his second yellow card after an untimely tackle on Santi Mina.
