The victory of RC Celta at Camp Nou against FC Barcelona also brought another prize for the sky blue youth team. Youth player Hugo Sotelo made his debut in an official match with the first team in LaLiga after replacing Fran Beltrán in the final stretch.
Sotelo is the seventh player trained at A Madroa to make his debut in the First Division this year, and the third at youth age. Before him were Jose Fontán, Gabri Veiga, Miguel Rodríguez, Sergio Carreira, Lautaro de León and Carlos Domínguez.
His debut, like that of his teammates, highlights the club’s and the Foundation’s commitment to the training of players in the lower categories.
