Jones El-Abdellaoui appeared before the media on the one-year anniversary of his arrival at Celta. The Celta striker took stock of his feelings this season, in which he has already scored his first goal for Celta in the Europa League against Ludogorets, while in LaLiga he has already scored twice. “I feel that I have grown a lot here, I hope to continue progressing and get more minutes and opportunities.”
He also spoke about one of his most surprising qualities on the field: his speed, as he is the third fastest player in the domestic competition. In this regard, Jones acknowledges that “in Norway, playing on artificial turf, I was faster, but here I will continue working to improve.”
The young man, who will turn 20 in just a few days, has confessed that at first he found it a little difficult to adapt to another country and another culture, but now he really likes Galicia. “One of the things about Vigo that reminds me of Norway is the nature; it’s a great place to enjoy life.” He has even taken to Spanish at times, as “I’m practicing a lot, I understand it but it’s a little more difficult to speak.”
Without a doubt, Jones El-Abdellaoui is in very good form and had some nice words for the fans, “I love Celta fans, they’re incredible, they’re our 12th player on the field.”
