Less than two weeks before the start of the official competition, the first team of RC Celta continues with its calendar of friendly matches with the aim of arriving in the best physical and tactical form for the first match of Laliga.
This Saturday, as a final point of the training camp in the United Kingdom, Claudio Giráldez’s team faced Luton Town at Kenilworth Road stadium. A match that ended with a victory for our team leaving very good feelings among the sky blue players.
Williot Swedberg was in charge of scoring the first goal on the half hour mark. A goal that reaffirms the good physical condition in which the Swedish striker is in this preseason.
In the second half, as usual in these friendlies, Claudio Giráldez revolutionised the Celeste bench by almost completely changing the starting eleven. The Celeste continued to create chances but, in the 66th minute, the English midfielder Doughty equalised. It didn’t take long for Pablo Durán to break the deadlock, and he scored his third goal for the first team, while on the verge of the final whistle, a header from Iago Aspas put the score at 1-3.
Good feelings for Claudio Giráldez’s side as they head into the final week of the 24/25 pre-season with the game against West Ham on the horizon. The final friendly will take place next Saturday, 10 August at 16:00 at the Olympic Stadium in London.
