Celta and Cádiz CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of Manu Fernández, with the Celta retaining a percentage of the player.
With a family legacy closely linked to Celta and having developed at A Madroa since 2016, the centre-back from Narón completed his entire journey through the Celta academy before making his reserve-team debut in September 2023, where he quickly established himself as a regular starter in Primera Federación. His progression led him to renew his contract until 2028 and make the step up to the first team, with whom he made his LaLiga EA Sports debut on 23 August 2025 against RCD Mallorca and his UEL debut in October of the same year against PAOK.
After ten years wearing the sky-blue shirt, Manu now begins a new chapter at Cádiz CF. Celta would like to thank him for his commitment and professionalism throughout these years and wish him every success in this new challenge.
