Marcos Alonso has been recognised for the first time with the Estrella Galicia MVP award for the month of March, an award that distinguishes him as the best player for RC Celta during the last month. The Celta fans have been in charge of choosing him by means of a vote, in which he won over his teammate Alfon, thus consolidating the great moment of form he has shown since his arrival in Vigo.
“I want to thank the fans for always being there“, said Marcos after receiving the award, showing his gratitude towards the sky blue fans. In addition, he wanted to highlight the collective effort, recognising that “the fact that this season this award has been so distributed, means that all the team is doing things very well“.
RC Celta are going through a sweet moment as they have gone eight games without defeat and continue to demonstrate a very solid identity and personality on the pitch. In this sense, Marcos Alonso has become an important part of a dressing room of which he highlights “the desire to improve and the ambition and determination with which they face every game“.
One of the highlights of this month of March has been the trip of more than a thousand fans to Pucela to accompany the team in the match against Real Valladolid.
