Celta is getting used to celebrating the Maxi Gomez’s goals. The Uruguayan sums twelve goals in the league (thirteen, according to the Pichichi trophy) in twenty-three days, a record that makes him the fourth highest scorer of the league tournament, just behind his teammate Iago Aspas (15), his fellow national Luis Suárez (16) and Messi (20).
If this were not enough for a footballer of only 21 years of age in his debut season in Europe, after his last header goal to Espanyol, Gomez has become the top scorer in the major European football leagues with seven headers to the back of the net.
