RC Celta’s manager, Miguel Cardos, judged positively RC Celta’s draw against Alaves. “After the last match, where we weren’t doing well at all, the team was able to react, get together and, most importantly, compete very well. We interpreted the different moments of the match well and that’s why we managed to finish with a goalless draw,” he said in a press conference.
The Portuguese trainer highlighted the team’s reaction to what has happened in recent weeks. “We came out stronger because everyone has seen the team’s attitude in very difficult emotional conditions. That proves that the kids work very seriously. Only the dead don’t fight,” he said.
Captain Hugo Mallo highlighted the fact of holding the goal nil. “It’s important to grow from a good defense. We’ve been able to suffer and I think the final score is fair,” he said.
