During training this morning at the Cidade Deportiva Afouteza, Miguel Román felt severe pain in his left ankle and foot. After undergoing an X-ray to rule out a possible bone injury, the tests confirmed a fracture at the base of the fifth metatarsal.
The player will undergo surgery, which is scheduled for the coming days. Depending on his recovery, he is expected to be out of action for around three months.
